Course Outline:

The HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid course provides you with the practical skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies including providing CPR, managing the incident and casualties in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
This programme also meets the requirements of Safe Work Australia Code of Practice for First Aid, which recommends that first aid skills are refreshed every 3 years with CPR skills being renewed every 12 months.

HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation 
HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

Course Objectives
The objectives of this competency based first aid and CPR training is to provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to:

  • Apply appropriate first aid procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Evaluate the incident and your own performance
 
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Students must be physically fit and capable to demonstrate CPR skills on the floor.
 
Credit for skills and past study
Wilson Medic One mutually recognises Statement(s) of Attainment and qualifications issued by other RTO's.
 
Certification
Following the successful completion of the program a Statement of Attainment will be issued.
