Joined: Oct 02, 2017. It took us alot of effort for just 20% of the module, so that was really funky for me. This was also the first semester where I actually did my readings, and I was quite surprised at how useful it was. Every student has to be part of a 'panel' ONCE in the entire semester, which will take place during the 'panel' lecture. Let me break it down. The lectures are very barren anyways because the lectures ARE recorded. These constitutes online participation (10%). students when they first arrive at NTU, such as freshmen orientation; mandatory briefings on harassment and misconduct, and new online module on anti-harassment for student organisers and freshmen participating in orientation programmes from July 2019. Lecture attendance is not marked, but tutorials are. It is a must that when taking this module you should master the 3 important financial documents (Income statement, balance sheet, and especially Statement of Cash Flow). After that, we had to read a dialogue that is completely in Russian. (maybe because i had some knowledge on how PC works, idk) There were no readings for this module, other than the 2 journal articles that were given before quiz 1 and 2. I know there were quite a lot of people who struggled with this module but I honestly found this module to be the least of my worries. Everything! The lectures are difficult to understand, the tutorials are quite difficult to do. Which also means the bell curve is super duper steep. This is because the curriculum is conducted in such a way that you are supposed to learn more from your peers as compared to learning from the tutor. That being said the recorded lectures aren't very useful either. I feel that he is a very amazing and experienced prof, and the way he structures this module is very special and to me, very fair. I am writing in my capacity as a direct year 2 poly student in 2011 who studied EEE for 3 years and graduated with honours with a rich CCA, hall-life and exchange experience.
